Pinterest is Removing Linked Business Accounts: What You Need to Know

If you’ve logged into Pinterest recently and noticed a pop-up about your linked business account, you’re not alone! I’ve had a few people reach out with questions, so I want to take a moment to walk through what’s happening and what it means for you.

What’s Changing?

Pinterest is phasing out linked business accounts. In the past, you could create a business account that was connected to your personal account, letting you toggle between the two with one login.

Now, Pinterest is requiring that all business accounts be separate logins. That means your personal and business accounts will no longer be tied together under the same login details.

What You’ll See

If you have a linked business account, you’ll see a pop-up notification when you log in. This message will prompt you to convert your account and set up a new login for the business account.

Once you make the change, you’ll have two logins:

  • One for your personal Pinterest account
  • One for your business Pinterest account

What This Means for You

The biggest change is simply how you log in. Functionality within the business account remains the same, but it will now live separately from your personal account.

If you’re one of my clients and your account is affected, don’t worry…I’m watching for this on your behalf. As soon as I see the pop-up appear on your account, I’ll reach out to you directly via email with instructions.

This is one of those small changes that can feel confusing at first, but once you set up your separate login, it’s business as usual.

If you have questions or aren’t sure what to do when you see the pop-up, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help make sure your transition is smooth and stress-free.
